Job summary

Eagle Rock Health and Rehabilitation of Cascadia in Idaho Falls is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic nursing assistance and daily living support to residents under supervision.

The role requires a valid CNA certification in Idaho, high school diploma or equivalent, and preferred CPR. Six months of long-term-care experience is preferred. Pay scale ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, based on licensure years and performance.

Qualifications

• Respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and facility staff.
• Show compassion and patience in daily care.
• Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.

Responsibilities

• Answer nurse call system to determine resident needs.
• Assist residents with dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with eating.
• Assist residents with range of motion exercises and movement to/from wheelchair or activity areas.
• Assist resident with turning and positioning in bed.
• Assist resident with ambulation as indicated.
• Take and record temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and intake/output.
• Document ADLs, resident personal cares, and device use as directed.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to contribute to care plans.
• Document restorative services following policies and procedures.
• Assist staff to provide person-centered care based on preferences.
