Job summary

Here Home Care in Iowa City area is hiring Home Health Aides (CNAs) to provide compassionate, in-home care. You will assist with personal care, safe transfers, meals, light housekeeping, and offer companionship while monitoring client health.

We serve Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Cedar Rapids, and nearby communities. Flexible full-time and part-time schedules, paid travel time, mileage, ongoing training, and a supportive 24/7 team are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Negative TB test and health clearance.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and assist with transfers.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility support)
• Helping with safe transfers and fall prevention
• Preparing meals, light housekeeping, and errands
• Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition
• Supporting clients with dementia, chronic conditions, or post-hospital recovery
