Job summary

Alzheimer’s Community Care in Florida is seeking a full-time Program Assistant for the Specialized Alzheimer's Day Service Center. You will assist in developing, implementing, and facilitating therapeutic activities for patients in the SADSC, including hands-on help with activities of daily living.

This role prioritizes patient safety, meal preparation support, and accurate record keeping. A valid Florida CNA or HHA certification is required, with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:30 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have clear, active Florida CNA license or HHA certification.
• Available to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:30 pm.
• Must pass AHCA level II background screening and drug screening.
• Experience with Alzheimer's or neurocognitive disorders preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Program Assistant

We are seeking a full-time Program Assistant for our Specialized Day Center. As a Program Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer's Day Service Center, including hands‑on assistance with patients' activities of daily living.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the SADSC
• Provide hands‑on assistance with patients' activities of daily living
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of patients at all times
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records

Requirements:

• Clear, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or Home Health Aid (HHA) Certification
• Ability to work between 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
• Must pass AHCA level II criminal background screening and drug screening
