Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Nurse Aide/Healthcare Technician to support patient care under RN supervision. You will help with daily living activities, hygiene, vital signs, and safe patient handling in a busy rehabilitation environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, current Nurse Aide registration (NA I or NA II) and BLS certification. Eligible for comprehensive benefits and a supportive team atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current listing with the DFS Nurse Aide Registry as Nurse Aide I or NC Board of Nursing as Nurse Aide II.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports patients with activities of daily living.
• Assists with personal hygiene and vital signs measurements.
• Takes height/weight and monitors patient conditions.
• Feeds and ambulates patients per procedures.
• Keeps patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Observes changes in patient conditions and reports promptly.
• Instructs patients and families on safety; orients to unit.
• Performs clerical tasks and maintains medical records.
• Maintains stock items and assists with NC Nurse Aide tasks as per scope.
• Performs EKG and venipuncture with appropriate training.
