Job summary

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is seeking a compassionate CNA, HCA, or Caregiver to provide in-home support for a client in Shoreline, WA. The position is part-time, roughly 20 hours per week, with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule and a focus on maintaining the client’s comfort, dignity, independence and quality of life.

Requirements include a current WA CNA or HCA credential, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with a reliable insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• Must hold current Washington CNA or HCA credential as applicable to the role.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association is required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable insured vehicle are required.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient and dependable caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene, bathing, dressing and mobility as needed.
• Support safe ambulation and movement inside and outside the home.
• Transport the client to medical appointments, errands, shopping and activities.
• Assist with getting in and out of the vehicle safely.
• Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements.
• Provide medication reminders as directed.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and activities.
• Offer companionship and engage the client in meaningful activities.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Assist with shopping and accompany client on errands.
• Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior.
• Communicate effectively with client, family and care team.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Keep the vehicle clean and safe during transport.
• Respond to emergencies appropriately.
