Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Central City, NE seeks a Nursing Assistant to support residents with daily living, hygiene, dining, and mobility. You will monitor vital signs, assist with meals, and document care per policy in a compassionate, faith-based environment.

The role requires completion of an accredited nursing assistant program and good communication skills. Training and med-record documentation are part of daily responsibilities; multiple shifts offered.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program approved by the location and the state.
• Ability to communicate and comprehend; ability to perform assigned tasks and meet requirements for in-services, training and meeting attendance; must be able to use the electronic medical record for documentation.
• Ability to measure and comprehend quantities.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily living needs; provide comfort, transportation and vital sign monitoring.
• Provide resident-centered personal care including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining vital signs, psychosocial support and other personal cares; assist with meals and snacks and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Assist residents in transferring, repositioning and walking using proper techniques and equipment; document cares and follow PPE and handwashing policies; handle linens and clothing as needed.
