Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Gardena in Gardena, CA seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and support the medical team in a fast-paced subacute setting.

The role requires weekend availability, a CNA certification and BLS certification; six months of hospital CNA experience is preferred. You will document in EMR, maintain patient safety, and communicate clearly with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months prior experience as a CNA within a hospital setting, preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective patient care including ADLs, mobility, and safety.
• Accurately document vital signs, intake/output, and other care observations.
• Record glucose monitoring results and operate EMR systems with accuracy.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals.
