Job summary

Memorial Hospital of Gardena is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for a full-time night shift with tele option. The base rate is $23 per hour with overtime after 8 hours, averaging about $26.83 per hour overall.

The CNA will provide patient care under licensed nurse supervision, including vitals, hygiene, nutrition, and documentation in the EMR. Qualified applicants should have six months of hospital CNA experience and strong communication, organization, and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months prior experience as a CNA within the hospital setting, preferred.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, strong organizational skills, ability to follow verbal instructions, and PC (computer) skills.
• A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, work independently, place patients and families first, and collaborate with the team members who are recognized leaders within health care.

Responsibilities

• Provides individually assigned patient care activities under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Monitors vital signs and documents accurately in EMR (Electronic Medical Record).
• Assists with patient hygiene, nutrition, and comfort measures.
• Communicates clearly with the healthcare team using SBAR.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and safety policies and supports department operations.
