Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Hamden, CT is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver care in a warm, home-like environment for our residents.

You will assist with daily living activities, document care, and report health or behavior changes to the team. Prior experience in skilled nursing or dementia care is preferred, and you will join a supportive care environment that values empathy and person-centered service.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required.
• Experience in skilled nursing or assisted living is preferred but not required.
• Experience with residents with dementia is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care provided and report changes to staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Apply customer service skills to ensure high-quality care.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
