Job summary

Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with approved procedures and as directed by the supervisor. You will preserve residents' dignity, respect their rights, deliver excellent customer service, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Requirements include Florida CNA certification, CPR certification, and at least one year of long-term care or related experience.

Qualifications

• Florida CNA certification is required.
• One year of long-term care or related experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting).
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of rooms; ensure beds are made and trash removed.
• Assist with meals and feeding as needed; monitor and report observations.
• Take vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures per regulations.
• Document promptly in CNA ECS flow-sheet and maintain accurate records.
• Conduct routine rounds to ensure safety equipment is in place and functioning.
• Provide timely incontinent care and repositioning to prevent skin breakdown.

Preserves residents’ dignity, honors resident’s rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations. Walk in applicants seen before 2pm; Must have application complete.

Essential Job Functions

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure those safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents that need assistance.

Essential Qualifications
