Hendricks Community Hospital is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to support long term care residents. No experience is required as CNA classes are offered at no cost to you. Weekends and holidays rotations apply; day shift is 6am to 2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a state approved CNA training program.
• Previous healthcare facility experience preferred but training may be provided.
• Genuine interest in geriatrics and resident care.
• Ability to follow care plans and provide ADL assistance.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with assistance for personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and mobility.
• Attend to physical, emotional and psychosocial well-being per care plans.
• Communicate positively with residents and respond to behaviors appropriately.
• Adhere to team concepts and safety, including emergency procedures.
• Engage in infection control and maintain professional confidentiality.
