Job summary

Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant I for a 17-bed long-term care unit specializing in pulmonary care. You will provide daily hands-on care, support residents' comfort and independence, and gain experience in complex pulmonary and long-term care.

Responsibilities include ADL assistance, transfers, and documentation, with opportunities for tuition reimbursement and growth within the LifeBridge Health system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Maryland CNA I / GNA (Certified Nursing Assistant I / Geriatric Nursing Assistant)
• Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
• Less than 1 year of healthcare experience; long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).
• Support residents with complex pulmonary needs and chronic tracheostomies using specialty beds/equipment.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning using mobility equipment.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and resident transport as needed.
• Document care and observations accurately in the electronic medical record (Synquest).
