Job summary

The McGuire Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for its Float Pool. You will provide hands-on resident care, assist with daily living activities, and support the nursing team to promote comfort and quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility and ADLs, recording vitals, ensuring privacy and safety, and following care plans. Prior CNA experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills.
• Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Commitment to professionalism, safety and quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, mobility).
• Safely transfer, transport, and reposition residents using appropriate equipment.
• Obtain and record vital signs and weights as directed.
• Maintain resident dignity, privacy, confidentiality, and rights at all times.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and restorative nursing activities.
• Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized resident rooms and care areas.
• Follow infection control practices, safety procedures, and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality resident care.
• Perform additional duties within the CNA scope of practice as assigned.

Rate: $18/hour

The McGuire Groupis looking to add a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to its team. In this role, you'll provide hands-on care and support to residents while helping promote comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
