Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Previous LTC nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Successful completion of CNA training & competency evaluation program.

Responsibilities

• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom to determine residents' needs and responds to call lights.
• Check residents who cannot call for help frequently.
• Provide direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Explain procedures to residents.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
