Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a dedicated CNA/Direct Care Giver to assist residents with daily living activities at our McDonough community. You will promote independence, participate in activities, and ensure a safe, compassionate environment.

Responsibilities include documenting status updates, reporting concerns, and supporting move-in transitions. A current CNA license and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) are required. Flexible weekends/holidays may apply.

Qualifications

• Must possess current CNA license from the state where the community is located and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
• Must be a contributing member of the nursing team and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
• Must be able to lift and transfer residents safely with proper body mechanics.
• Must wear designated uniform during working hours, including name badge and a smile.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
• Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
• Completes all other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents.
• Encourage residents to function independently and participate in community activities.
• Conduct activities and provide a meaningful experience for residents.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and report incidents as needed.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and move safely around the community.
• Document appropriately and report status or concerns to appropriate individuals.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Communicate resident status and upcoming information in writing and verbally.
• Provide emotional support during move-in transitions.
• Notify family as directed about resident changes.
