The role does not include administering medications or independent patient care responsibilities. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification where required by state, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care activities under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or LVN/LPN.
• Does not administer medications or therapies.
• Follows hospital policies and participates in related duties as assigned.
