Freeman Regional Health Services in Freeman, SD seeks a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant to provide essential daily care and emotional support to residents. Shift options include day, night, and weekends/holidays, with a requirement to work at least two shifts every six weeks.

You will assist with activities of daily living, document care, and support nursing staff while upholding resident rights and privacy.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• CNA certification or ability to complete CNA courses to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and communicate effectively with others.

Responsabilités

• Provide assistance to residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform routine duties as directed by nursing staff.
• Assist with bathing and dressing, personal hygiene, transfers, repositioning, toileting, and answering call lights.
• Document concise, factual information on appropriate forms.
• Assist with medical care activities per policy to contribute to the plan of care.
• Provide feedback to nursing staff on patient status and pain management.
• Support families with emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy; report any abuse or property misappropriation.
• Follow fire, infection control, and disaster procedures; mentor new staff.
