Job summary

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Huntsville, AL and surrounding areas. Interview from home with self-scheduled Zoom interviews.

The company offers full-time, part-time, and PRN positions with day, evening, and overnight shifts. Benefits begin after 30–90 days, including health insurance and a 401(k). A dependable driving record and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of caregiver experience or an active CNA certification.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background screening.
• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care)
• Provide mobility support and transfers
• Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift)
• Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness
• Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort
• Offer companionship and daily living assistance
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety
• Light housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities
• Monitor for changes in mood or behavior
• Provide conversation and social interaction
• Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled
