Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville/Birmingham is actively hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments in Madison, Huntsville, and surrounding areas. Roles include personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, and companionship, with a quick onboarding process and in-person work.

Qualifications

• 2 years of caregiving experience OR CNA Certification.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background screening.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care).
• Provide mobility support and transfers.
• Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift).
• Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness.
• Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort.
• Offer companionship and daily living assistance.
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities.
• Monitor for changes in mood or behavior and provide social interaction.
• Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled.
