Job summary

Addus HomeCare is hiring an entry-level Certified Nurse Aide to support seniors and people with disabilities in their homes in Oregon. The role offers flexible, part-time hours and opportunities for daily pay for select positions.

As an Addus Certified Nurse Aide, you will remind clients to take medications, assist with personal care, therapeutic exercises, light housekeeping, and provide companionship while ensuring a safe and clean home environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of Certified Nursing Assistant training.
• At least two years of home care experience.
• Satisfactory background check and valid driver's license.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Desire to compassionately care for others.
• Reliable, energetic, self-motivated and well-organized.

Responsibilities

• Remind clients to take medication at the appropriate time.
• Assist clients with therapy exercises under supervision of a Registered Therapist.
• Assist or perform personal care including hair care, oral hygiene, bathing, grooming and dressing.
• Assist with routine bodily functions.
• Light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment including changing bed linens, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and handling bed pans and laundry.
• Provide companionship and accompany clients to doctors or appointments.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the Agency Director or Service Coordinator.
• Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
• Examine the patient for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds.
