Job summary

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Extended Care South unit in Lincoln. The CNA works 36 hours per week, 7 pm to 7 am, with rotating weekends and holidays, to deliver compassionate patient care in a long-term care setting.

You will collaborate with RNs and LPNs, perform activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and participate in shift reports to ensure quality care and safety for residents receiving rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of the 75-hour state approved nurse aide training program.
• Active Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in good standing in Nebraska.
• Madonna policy against discrimination and harassment in employment.

Responsibilities

• Attend shift report at beginning and end of shift to ensure communication between nursing team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, bathing, etc.).
• Assist bedside nurse (RN or LPN) with patient treatment and exams.
• Take vital signs, document status, and administer treatments as directed by RN.
• Perform other related projects and duties as assigned.

POSITION:

UNIT OVERVIEW:

EC – Serving residents in a long term care setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Attend shift report at beginning and end of each shift to ensure good communication between nursing members
• Assists patients with activities of daily living which may include dressing, feeding, bathing or any other hygiene needs
• Assists the bedside nurse (RN or LPN) with patient treatment and examinations
• Takes vital, documents status and gives treatment as directed by Registered Nurse
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned
