Job summary

Madonna Rehabilitation Hospitals seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Ventilator Assisted Special Needs Unit in Lincoln. This full-time night shift (7pm-7am) includes rotating weekends and holidays, 36 hours per week, on-site care for ventilator-dependent residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (dressing, feeding, bathing, etc.).
• Assist the bedside nurse with patient treatment and examinations.
• Take vital signs, document status, and administer treatments as directed by RN.

POSITION

Certified Nursing Assistant, 36 hours per week, 7pm-7am, with rotating weekends and holidays

UNIT OVERVIEW

VAU - Long term care of ventilator dependent residents and residents with highly specialized care needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Attend shift report at beginning and end of each shift to ensure good communication between nursing members
• Assists patients with activities of daily living which may include dressing, feeding, bathing or any other hygiene needs
• Assists the bedside nurse (RN or LPN) with patient treatment and examinations
• Takes vital, documents status and gives treatment as directed by Registered Nurse
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned
