Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care under RN supervision. You will support daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and assist the patient care team with procedures and data entry.

The role requires a VA CNA license, BLS CPR at hire, and at least one year of acute care experience. Honor and respect for patients, families, and teamwork are essential in our facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA license issued by the Commonwealth of VA required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• At least one year of acute care experience required; or six months if enrolled in RN program with clinicals.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with daily living activities.
• Obtains urine, stool, and sputum specimens as needed.
• Records vital signs and reports changes to licensed staff.
• Transports patients and prepares for procedures and tests.
• Maintains and cleans equipment and assists in emergencies.
