Job summary

Cantex Continuing Care Network in Flower Mound, TX is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care and support daily nursing activities in alignment with care plans and facility protocols.

As a CNA you will document observations, assist with routine tasks, promote patient independence, communicate changes to the Charge Nurse, and contribute to a safe, clean care environment while upholding quality standards.

Qualifications

• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant is required.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care services to assigned patients in accordance with care plans and safety procedures.
• Document patient care activities and observations according to policies.
• Promote patient independence and quality of life.
• Communicate patient status updates to the supervising Charge Nurse at shift start and end.
• Observe patient conditions and document relevant observations as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
• Follow safe lifting, positioning, transferring procedures.
• Ensure care-related equipment and devices remain clean and charged, report malfunctions.
• Participate in in-service education, certification maintenance, and Patient Care Management Systems training.
• Perform incidental housekeeping or maintenance tasks as needed.
• Serve as a team leader and role model for abuse prevention and patient safety.
