Cantex Continuing Care Network in Lufkin, TX is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in collaboration with the nursing team.

You will follow individualized care plans, document observations, support patient independence, and ensure safety during lifts and transfers. This role emphasizes compassionate care, accurate reporting to Charge Nurse, and adherence to facility policies.

Formación

• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients safely.

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct patient care per care plans and safety procedures.
• Document patient care activities and observations.
• Promote independence and quality of life for patients.
• Communicate patient status updates to the Charge Nurse at shift start and end.
• Observe patient conditions and document observations.
• Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free environment.
• Assist with safe lifting, positioning, transferring.
• Ensure equipment and devices are clean and charged; report malfunctions.
• Participate in required in-service education and certification activities.
• Perform incidental housekeeping tasks to support a safe care environment.
• Serve as a team leader and role model for abuse prevention and quality care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
