Qualifications

• Nursing degree from a CNA program.

• Excellent personal hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Providing great patient care.
• Answering patient calls and determining how best to help them.
• Providing physical support for daily activities and personal hygiene.
• Turning and repositioning bedridden patients.
• Ensuring patients receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Obtaining information from physicians, caregivers, and nurses about patient conditions and plans.
• Measuring and recording food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes.
• Recording vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, respiration) as requested.
• Examining patients to detect issues requiring medical care (open wounds, bruises).
• Reminding patients to take medications and nutritional supplements.
• Noting observations of patient behavior to nurses.
• Staying up to date on CNA training and facility policy and procedure.

Education

Nursing degree from a CNA program

High School graduate or equivalent
