Wendell Foster in Owensboro, KY is hiring Direct Support Professionals for our Intermediate Care Facility to support individuals and provide direct care.

The role features 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM–6:00 PM), part-time and PRN options, starting pay $16.00 per hour with a $2 night differential, overtime, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match after 1 year, PTO, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Must obtain first aid and CPR certification (training provided).
• Excellent communication with staff and individuals.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dressing, bathing, toileting, hygiene, feeding; mobility and occasional meal prep per dietary card.
• Ensure safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Respect individuals' rights and dignity in interactions.
• Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs; occasionally 75 lbs during assistance.

Essential Functions:

Support our individuals direct care needs including, but not limited to:

• Getting dressed, assisting with baths and showering, toileting and hygiene needs, feeding, Assist with walking and/or wheelchair mobility, occasionally preparing meals and snacks per dietary card
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Understand individual’s rights and display respect and dignity when interacting with individuals.
• Frequently lift and/or move 50lbs; occasionally lift and/or move 75lbs while assisting a person with movement or direct care
