Job Description:
PATIENT POPULATION: The patient population served in the DP/SNF is 21 years old and older. This also includes services which affect facility staff, physicians, visitors, vendors and the general public.
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) performs individually assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility include: monitoring of patient vital signs, providing patient hygiene and comfort measures, assisting with medical procedures, fulfilling nutritional needs, and maintenance of a record of the care provided as assigned.
Must be able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call. Agrees to participate, as directed, in emergencies and community disasters during scheduled and unscheduled hours. As a designated disaster service worker you are required to assist in times of need pursuant to the California Emergency Services Act. (Gov’T. Code §§ 3100, 3102)

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have and maintain current licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) in the state of California. Must have and maintain BLS certification or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands‑on patient care.
