Job summary

Ascension in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Nursing Support team member for a full-time day shift. You will assist with procedures ordered by physicians and supervised by an RN, help patients with daily living activities, and report changes to nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Nurse Aide obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with procedures ordered by physician and supervised by a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Assist patients with personal care, activities of daily living and transfers/transport.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly; identify safety hazards and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
• Provide care tailored to a specific population with time- and individualized care for assigned patients.
