Job summary

New England Homes for the Deaf in Danvers, MA is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and support to Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing residents across shifts. You will assist with daily living activities, document care, help with hygiene, mobility, and medications as permitted, and participate in on-site ASL and culture classes.

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited CNA program with active CNA certification.
Ability to transfer residents using proper body mechanics; willingness to train.
Willing to work weekends and varied shifts as needed (7:00–15:00 or 23:00–07:00).
On-site ASL and Deaf culture classes offered; strong communication with residents.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with personal care including bathing, grooming, oral hygiene, and mobility.
Assist in dining room, serve beverages, make beds, and maintain resident quarters.
Dispense medications as a certified staff member and document doses.
Transport residents to activities/appointments and assist with laundry and daily tasks.
