Job summary

New England Homes for the Deaf is seeking a licensed RN or LPN to provide compassionate care for Deaf and hard-of-hearing seniors in a long-term care setting. The role includes medication administration, safety practices, and resident advocacy in a 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift.

Knowledge of ASL and Deaf culture is a plus; on-site ASL classes are offered. The position requires a professional, calm demeanor, weekend availability, and commitment to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed RN or LPN in Massachusetts.
• Knowledge of American Sign Language and Deaf culture is a plus; ASL classes on-site.
• CPR certification required.
• Must adhere to nursing code of ethics.

Responsibilities

• Available for 11:00 PM–7:00 AM shift.
• Assess and administer medications and treatments to residents.
• Ensure safe medication practices.
• Provide high-quality care and resident advocacy.
• Maintain professional, respectful interactions with staff and residents.
• Complete mandatory in-service training and RN/LPN meetings.
• Willing to work weekends; participate in on-site ASL/Culture classes.
