Job summary

Majestic Care of North Vernon is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time evening and night shifts. The CNA will support professional nursing staff by providing direct, hands-on care to ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents and help maintain residents' highest possible functioning.

Responsibilities include ADL support, responding to call lights, safe transport, and accurate reporting to nurses.

Qualifications

• Certified and state tested as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state employed; certificate must be active, valid, and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Respond to call lights to provide comfort, safety and privacy.
• Transport residents by ambulation or wheelchair to dining, lobby or activities.
• Report significant observations to the nurse promptly.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge to ensure smooth transitions.
• Safeguard residents’ personal possessions and keep rooms neat and safe.
• Follow infection control techniques and respect residents’ privacy.
