Job summary

Beaumont Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Indiana is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide resident care and support in activities of daily living, ensuring health, welfare and safety of residents.

The CNA performs duties such as feeding assistance, personal hygiene support, mobility assistance, vital signs checks, documentation, and HIPAA-compliant privacy protections, while adhering to professional standards and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must hold current Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of practice.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Long term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with serving meals and feeding; provide fresh water and nourishment between meals.
• Assist with personal hygiene: bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves; assist with bathroom trips; help with showers and baths.
• Assist in ambulating, turning, and positioning residents.
• Maintain resident stability by checking vitals and weight; record intake and output information.
• Provide resident comfort by using resources; answer call lights and requests; report observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
• Protect privacy and dignity by keeping patient information confidential; comply with HIPAA guidelines and related laws.
• Adhere to professional standards, company policies and procedures, and all federal, state, and local requirements, including JCAHO standards.
• Update job knowledge by educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations; maintaining licensure.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
