Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Western Correctional Institution (WCI) in Cumberland, Maryland. The CNA will work under nursing and medical staff supervision to provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals, supporting hygiene, daily living activities, and vital signs.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, Maryland CNA licensure, and a certified BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or other medical paraprofessional certification required.
• CNA licensure in Maryland required.
• Training, experience or certification as a nurse’s aide, medical technician or mental health worker preferred.
• One year of experience in acute care, long-term care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.
• Must have a certified BLS certificate.
• Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• CNAs work under the close direction of nursing, medical and psychiatric staff to perform direct patient care to incarcerated individuals.
• Assist patients by supporting personal hygiene, daily living needs and vital sign monitoring.
