Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the certification board or has completed a state-approved CNA training program and passed competency exam (written and skills) within 120 days of employment.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a CNA in long-term care preferred.
• Able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides supportive services to nursing staff and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living according to care plans and procedures.
• Assists residents with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting as needed.
• Coordinates dining room services during meals, including setup, delivery, feeding, and documenting intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and ensures intake is documented.
• Assists with weighing residents and reports changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports any issues to staff.
• Documents progress in flow sheets daily and communicates changes in resident condition.
