Job summary

CottageGrove is seeking a dedicated CNA to provide routine nursing care and support to residents in our facility. You will be responsible for identifying residents, administering basic care under supervision, and documenting care and changes in condition with accuracy.

The role requires a valid CNA license in the state, ability to follow policies, protect resident privacy, and assist with activities of daily living.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a 10th grade education.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in accordance with state laws.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use wristband or photo ID to identify residents before administering treatments or meals.
• Record entries using approved abbreviations.
• Report changes in residents' conditions to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Maintain accurate flow sheets, notes, and charts.
• Protect residents' protected health information and report any disclosures.
• Assist residents with daily functions (dental care, bathing, dressing).
• Help prepare residents for medical tests and procedures.
• Assist with moving, turning, and transporting residents as needed.
• Perform post-meal care and ensure trays and utensils are clean and within reach.
