Job summary

AHMC- Seton Medical Center in Daly City seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to join its patient care team. You will provide routine care under the direction of an RN or LVN, assist with meals, mobility, and daily activities, and help maintain patient privacy and safety.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential. The role requires CA CNA certification and current BCLS; previous CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited CNA program or first year of nursing school preferred
• Current CA Certified Nurse Assistant certificate
• Current BCLS training
• Acute Care CNA program preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide routine CNA care per the care plan and skills checklist.
• Report pertinent observations to Team Leader promptly.
• Assist in preparing rooms and beds for admission, transfers or discharges.
• Assist with feeding, positioning and hydration as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Follow mobility and safety protocols for patient comfort.
• Support patient education on safety and storage of valuables.
• Complete tasks from shift to ensure continuity of care.
• Assist with orientation of new staff as assigned.
• Assist with collecting, labeling and transporting specimens as required.
