Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) in De Smet, SD for a PRN schedule. The NA provides resident-centered care, assists with daily living activities, and supports RN staff in delivering quality care in a long-term care setting.

Expect possible shifts, with premiums and weekend/evening differentials; a minimum 30 hours per month and at least one weekend shift per month. Experience in long-term care is preferred (3 months minimum).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Colorado: Depending on facility, QMAP certification may be required.
• Stated certifications and continuing education as required by facility and state regulations.
• Will be screened for driving capability if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under the supervision of an RN.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic health care tasks.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with wellness and recreational programs and maintain infection control practices.
