Job summary

Visiting Angels Lawton is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to help seniors in Lawton-area communities. The role involves light housekeeping, meal prep, mobility assistance, and companionship.

We offer opportunities for growth and training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care; work with a caring local team serving Altus, Snyder and surrounding towns. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a true commitment to compassionate home care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must possess compassion and a true caregiver mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own.
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion.
• Report any unusual incidents.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
