Job summary

The Village At Germantown is seeking a Certified Nurse Assistant to provide direct care to residents, supporting daily living activities and plan of care. You will assist with therapeutic activities, restorative programs, and thorough documentation in the facility.

Responsibilities include assisting residents in bed, dressing, dining, hygiene, and mobility, with emphasis on safety and comfort; accurate charting and adherence to procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum Nurse Assistant Certification. One year of experience as CNA including some medical/surgical experience and awareness of geriatric residents.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assistance may range from total to partial to stand by depending upon resident's physical and cognitive ability.
• Assist residents in and out of bed and chair or wheelchair with the correct mechanical lift, may require assistance of another aide.
• Assignments will be rotated daily: bath aide, red napkin, hall trays, and hall.
• Assist residents in dressing or undressing and manage clean/soiled items.
• Assist residents in using bathroom and peri care; may provide bedpans or bedside commodes.
• Take vital signs and document information.
• Assist in dining area or provide meals in room; assist in tray setup and feeding; document nourishment intake.
• Maintain bedside unit neat; replace linens as needed.
• Assist in personal grooming and monitor hygiene.
• Turn and reposition residents as needed.
• May clean equipment such as bedpans and catheter bags.
• Maintain service areas clean and orderly.
• Promote quality of life, privacy, independence, and participation in activities.
• Respond to call lights promptly and communicate changes to team leader.
