Job summary

NHS Management, LLC in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to deliver high-quality resident care. You will work closely with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support daily living activities and ensure comfort and safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, dressing, mobility, reporting changes to staff, observing infection control protocols, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state applying for.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in long-term care or similar healthcare setting preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, patient, dedicated to high-quality care.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to varying shift schedules.
• Current CPR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating).
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health to nursing staff.
• Provide mobility assistance (transfers, repositioning).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Document care provided and observations per facility policies.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
• Follow infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
