Job summary

Apple Rehab Gardner Heights in Shelton, CT, seeks a CNA to provide compassionate daily resident care including bathing, grooming, mobility and hygiene assistance. You will document care, monitor changes in condition and communicate with supervisors to ensure safety and comfort.

Starting pay is competitive, based on experience, with shift differentials for 2nd/3rd shifts and weekends. Per diem and multiple full/part-time schedules are available, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must hold current CNA certification in good standing as per State Registry.
• No history of patient/resident abuse as per State Registry.
• Proficient in reading, writing, and following instructions.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks.
• Team player with cooperative interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dental care and mobility needs.
• Document personal care and observe changes in residents’ condition.
• Report accidents or injuries promptly and chart regularly.
• Respond to call lights and emergencies calmly and efficiently.
