Job summary

ProMedica Washington Township in Glassboro, NJ seeks compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct patient care under licensed supervision. You will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor health, and maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to infection control, and documentation. CNA certification in the state, CPR/BLS, and good interpersonal skills are required or preferred as per facility policy.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in the applicable state.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or required depending on facility policy.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ health or condition to nursing staff.
• Take and record vital signs (temperature, BP, pulse, respiration).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment for residents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to residents.
• Assist with transferring, repositioning, and ambulating residents using proper body mechanics.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures per facility policies.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to resident care plans.
• Support residents’ rights and HIPAA compliance.
