Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Certificate documenting successful completion of a nurse aide training course approved by IL board.
• Active listing or eligibility to be listed on IL CNA registry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle emotionally and physically demanding situations professionally.
• Competence in using technical equipment and learning new materials efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care tasks and assist residents with daily living activities.
• Support residents in achieving independence in self-performance activities.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and regulations.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and team members.
• Display patience, empathy, and tact with residents, families, and staff.
• Manage challenging situations professionally and calmly during emergencies.
• Follow verbal and written English communication.
• Learn and operate technical materials and equipment.
• Enter and retrieve information using computer systems.
• Adhere to facility policies and care standards.
• Organize and adjust a flexible schedule to cover duties.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
