Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Registry.

Responsibilities

• Identifying patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and their support systems.
• Establishing a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Promoting patient independence by establishing patient care goals, teaching patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills, and addressing questions.
• Ensuring quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards, and following hospital and nursing division's philosophies and standards of care.
• Resolving patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and calling for assistance as needed.
• Protecting patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies, medication administration protocols, and controlled substance regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
