Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, positioning and hydration
• Provide adjunct care such as enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice/heat treatments and documentation
• Maintain patient stability by checking vital signs, monitoring weight and recording intake/output
• Enhance comfort by transporting patients, responding to call lights and reporting observations
• Document actions by completing forms, logs, reports and records
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain smooth operations
• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold organizational values
• Adhere to professional standards, hospital policies and regulatory requirements
• Maintain knowledge through continuing education and licensure upkeep
• Support the nursing department by taking on new tasks and adding value
