Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year work experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• Meets all state and local requirements for certification as a Certified Nurse Aide and Food Handling.
• Commitment to person-centered and resident-directed care.
• Cross training for household activities, household housekeeping, laundry and food service/food handling required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and care needs of residents.
• Support residents in self-care and assist when needed.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control standards.
• Observe residents and report changes to leadership.
• Assist with dining services, food preparation and serving; ensure food handling certification.
• Maintain clean spaces and coordinate personal laundry for residents.
