Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to document care, observe patient behavior, and support the nursing team.

The CNA role requires a CA CNA certificate and BLS, with ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and to handle interruptions.

Qualifications

• CA Certified Nursing Assistant certificate is required.
• Evidence of Nursing Fundamentals within the last 24 months and RN program enrollment.
• BLS Certification (AHA and current) is required.
• CPI or NCI certification within 120 days of hire and renewal thereafter.
• Ability to work in high-volume, fluctuating census environments.
• Subject to interruptions and irregular hours.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Document all activities in accordance with established policy.
• Observe patient behavior across biophysical, developmental, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and sociocultural needs.
• Priority and process physician orders accurately and within designated time frames.
• Answer patient calls, greet and direct patients/visitors; record and deliver messages for patients/staff.
