Job summary

Duet Nebraska seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor. The CNA will support individual growth through habilitative programs and may function as part of the IPP Team.

Responsibilities include following RN guidance, maintaining privacy, orienting new staff, and upholding professional standards. Flexible hours include days, evenings, overnights, holidays, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• Nebraska Nurse Aide certification required; one year hospital or nursing home experience, or two years in human services preferred.
• Flexible hours and ability to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to read, understand, and verbally communicate written materials and direction.
• Must pass a criminal background check and have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine specialized procedures as delegated by the RN.
• Provides and respects the privacy and confidentiality of the individuals served.
• Assists in the orientation of new staff.
• Maintains a professional appearance, behavior and environment.
• Performs all miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
