Job summary

Western Home Communities is seeking a caring Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team in Iowa. You will provide resident care under supervision, assist with daily activities and personal hygiene, and work with a supportive team dedicated to high-quality care.

Must hold an active Iowa CNA license; CMA certification as required in Iowa. Prior CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current active license to practice as a CNA in Iowa.
• CMA: Must possess a current active certification to practice as a CNA in Iowa.
• Experience/ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, and the public.
• Prior Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to residents under the supervision of the nurse and the support of your team
• Provide physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, - using the toilet, walking, standing, or exercising.
• Assists with organizing, cleaning, laundry, meals, and other assigned tasks
• Promptly answer residents' calls for assistance and provide compassionate care that is in alignment with their specific care plan
• Chart resident interactions throughout the shift and communicate efficiently with the members of your team
• Ensures that resident's rights are adhered to
